Canoeing and kayaking in the Gorges du Tarn, Canoe 2000
With family or friends, the pleasures of water sports are always popular in our beautiful Gorges du Tarn.
Canoeing, kayaking and paddling are excellent ways to take advantage of a privileged location to admire the grandiose surrounding landscapes.

Have you ever felt the deep joy of being the only boat in the middle of a river, in the heart of a deep valley? If you answer yes, then you may have already canoed down the Gorges du Tarn.

And if not, read on and, without a doubt, you will do it soon!

Take a different look at the Gorges du Tarn by canoe

As the river meanders through alternating deep greens and silvery tones, you let yourself glide along the waters of the Tarn. It is morning, it is still early. Can you hear the silence?

You are in a canoe with your family: two boats follow each other in the middle of the river, in the heart of the Tarn Gorges. Apart from a few birds answering each other from afar, you only hear the splash of the water and the sound of the paddle as it splits the surface.

It is as if you are alone in the world... the only ones privileged to enjoy these sublime and grandiose landscapes.

Canoeing in the Gorges du Tarn means taking the time to discover this extraordinary place from another angle.
Go on a day trip and you will find preserved natural sites and quiet beaches just waiting for you.

Would you like to experience a complete break in the heart of a generous nature? In canoeing, in the heart of the Gorges du Tarn, you are in the right place!

Canoeing down the Tarn: easy or sporty?

Whatever your level, whatever your tastes and wishes to make the most of your aquatic holiday, you can be reassured: there are several courses.
And at Canoe 2000, we make sure that their levels of difficulty vary greatly.

So there's something for everyone!

  • Introductory tours

They are easy and unforgettable.
Because on a hot, sunny day a canoeing trip is a must, even if you've never held a paddle before!
These tours are very accessible and cross breath-taking landscapes. They will offer you an extraordinary spectacle and will allow you to familiarise yourself with your boat.
You'll end up gliding across the water as skilfully as a Native American!

These courses will delight the whole family and you can even enjoy them with your dog!

  • Long circuits

These are one-day or two-day circuits.
These tours are always aimed at a family audience and remain accessible to all. The routes are just a little longer!
For example, the Sainte-Enimie - Le Rozier trip is about 36 km long and offers a slightly sporty section at the end of the tour.

Not to be missed if you like strong sensations!

For your sporting and nautical activities, the waters of the Gorges du Tarn are welcoming and sometimes, sources of strong sensations. Caution is the order of the day, and you should make sure you close your life jackets, not forgetting the dog's!
And in any case, you will not go canoeing without your sunglasses properly attached, nor without a cap and sun cream.

You can be confident that the Gorges du Tarn are long-standing companions for Canoe 2000! Our teams will advise you and help you choose the best trip for your level.
You will also be informed about the unmissable beauties along the way.
And we will answer all your questions about this wonderful place that we have been travelling for years.
