Renting a canoe or kayak with #canoe2000 is, above all, a family-run experience. After Robert and Rolande, who founded the base in 1986, it is now David and Muriel’s turn to warmly welcome you to the heart of the village of La Malène.

Located in the heart of the Gorges du Tarn, our goal is to provide you with an unforgettable experience.

The Tarn River, both family-friendly and stunning, invites you to discover and enjoy a spectacular natural site with its emerald waters.

Our base, reception area, and private parking are conveniently located beneath the La Malène bridge. We offer canoe, kayak, and paddleboard rentals on the Tarn.

La Malène, the heart of the Gorges du Tarn, is a charming little village with international renown, thanks to its traditional boatmen, Les Bateliers de la Malène. It also boasts a rich cultural heritage, with Gallo-Roman archaeological excavations and remarkable architecture, including a 12th-century Romanesque church and a historic manor—both key highlights of the area.
